Hi
I use Pianoteq at home and on stage.
At home I use a pair of Adam A7V monitors and, when time is not appropiate (late evening and night) I use a pair of AudioTechnica ATH-M50X or the inear monitors I use on stage: Sennheiser IE 100 Pro.
Those inears are built for the stage, very good sound isolation and a minimal harmonic distortion on loud volume levels (<1%).
I preffer the sound of a dynamic driver than the "new" trend of miniaturizing with those balanced armature... I prefer a solid all-around single dynamic driver than a multi driver solution because more drivers is not a synonim of better quality, it only brings more complexity to the equation.
For me, I'm comfortable with inears and I'm used to wear them for several hours, and I'm very happy with a lightweight comfy single driver solution than a heavier multidriver solution... Quality over quantity...
I would only change my Sennheiser IE 100 Pro for a higher model of the same brand (Sennheiser's IE 300, IE 400 Pro or IE 500 Pro) or the industry claimed Etymotic (the single driver models ER2SE or ER2XR).
Tried half a dozen of ChiFi recommended by other musicians and not gonna use them again...
Best regards!
Edit: Don't believe all the ratings or recommendations on Amazon, some are fake reviews and some are from people that don't know anything about audio or sound...
