Topic: Why I've ordered a (10mm ceramic) precision ball bearing
Dear piano lovers,
I had been trying and trying to find a way to get better single note repetitions on my P515. It has been my conviction that the NWX action in the P515 is very well made quality control wise. Last night, I raised the back of my keyboard by a thick card width. Since then it has been much easier to rapidly repeat single notes. However, I want to see if I can further improve the action performance by making sure the action itself is optimally level. I may need to contact Yamaha or pay a visit to my local music store to assess this. But in the mean time, I'll work on the assumption that when the key is fully depressed it should be exactly horizontal. Hence the precision ceramic ball bearing. If anyone is interested, I'll post my findings in this thread. Just got to wait for the ball!
Warmest regards,
Chris
