You have a way with words, Qexl.
Enjoying testing and playing with your Resonance settings, and reading your thoughts about the subject. Thanks.

high praise from a man that also has an excellent way with words.

and I want to say that it is doing my heart a lot of good
to see the outpouring of sincere goodwill by all of you.
can't wait to try your settings Qexl.

Fleer, I'm honored that you quoted me.

Sandalholme, you helped me many years ago on Piano World. my user name there is minstrelman. thank you for that. and my go to PT instrument is the Steingraeber.

thank you to to Philippe and all Modartt guys and gals for their excellent fun PT.

and in an effort to entertain:

here's a suggestion for creating a new piano.
build a particle collider.
for pianos.

smash together a Steinway, a Steingraeber, a Bechstein, a Steinbach,
a Steinberg, a Steinmayer, a Steinhoven, a Grotrian-Steinweg and a Bernhard Steiner.

it will be the Ultimate Stein piano.
indeed, a Stein piano to rule all Stein pianos.

true, it may be a crazy idea.
but then I ask myself, hey is it crazy enough?

or perhaps we'll discover/detect the Stein boson.  :)

Re: PIANOTEQ gets better and better!

I have to go back to Organteq, my  Ptq gets back to rest for a while But, once again…Ptq gets better…Although I like U4 and YC5, I usually use Steningraeber. Had to try res eq and res dur also with Steingraeber Bright, improvising around theme ”One day at a time” (about a year ago). I think this little music piece shows again what an incredible soundengine Ptq is - it is one masterpiece! And, maybe it's suitable relaxing music in this virus time….:)
It’s a short composition 1,46, but I'm not ashamed of it for that, since I’m in good company because The Beatles song ”From me to you” is 1,56
Well, this was my visit here, now I’m going back to Organteq, the other masterpiece.

Re: PIANOTEQ gets better and better!

A minor thing, but in version 6.7.0 the preset list in [Preset Manager] seems to show fewer characters that file names that use to show as:
SteinwayDGrand(Classical)
SteinwayDGrand(Concert)
SteinwayDGrand(Studio)

Now shows as:
SteinwayDGrand(...
SteinwayDGrand(...
SteinwayDGrand(...

It's hard to choose from the list.
I think the type used to become condensed.

Flooded with good feelings here. Who's been cuttin' onions?

Sorry Qexl, it was probably me. When I'm not playing the piano or tweaking Pianoteq I enjoy doing a bit of cooking. Just to warn you, I'm planning to try making some onion bhajis one day this week!

in Linux i can see the full names as before.  (i've downloaded many of your fxps).  i'm using the Large magnification in the display.

Ra's editing and re-editing (usually it means something went over a boundary - so I'm copy/pasting what I see now, which only contains a mild insinuation rather than a likely rant). Also I just don't have time for conspiracy, insinuations and someone editing out what they say, as you respond.. it's not worth it.. it's like old as hell and bad manors at best.

Qexl, you care maybe enough to explain your manors usage, specifically, just how you’re able to use it?  Seriously, or inadvertently, one of my entries that includes the quote (above) was just deleted by someone else.

I would like to have some idea, if you could perhaps just explain it to me.  You know, whenever you have some time, and otherwise aren’t too busy to post something meaningful to others  —and of course me.

Re: PIANOTEQ gets better and better!

Cheers, @Stephen, always enjoy and appreciate your well articulated ideas too.

Hehe @Fleer, and dazric, seems we all love bhajis!

If we agree to stick tiny paper uuhmberrellahs in 'em, then I declare Club Bhaji is born! / According to Mitch Hedburg, the 'Club Sandwich' must have happened a bit like this too

@Don, thanks! That was good to see - some good tips for anyone locked in with Pianoteq - fun mixed in, to lift the spirits.

His advice at 25:10 was particularly good to finish up on

(paraphrasing that bit: learn some rules of course but don't let everything be guided just by those alone - has to be some soul in there too - let go - let the muse flow - fix up with rules in mind).

Re: PIANOTEQ gets better and better!

I just feel this topic of mine has been subverted, by boys behaving badly.

Please try and stay on the topic.  People, let’s focus.

You’ve really no need to discuss elsewhere the apparent problems presented by the interface, the current v.6.7.0 inability to save presets just of the new features: Resonance eq settings not saving properly?

If you want an easier method to share newly made equalizer settings from only the new features, I’m suggesting practice some containment to this topic, and, avoid sporadic hops from one thread to the other, at least until the problem has been properly addressed here and you’ve become satisfied with the results.
