I have a Sound Blaster ZBX sound card. It's a $250 PCI card for a desktop. Asio4All was the best ASIO driver for that card even though the included driver is pretty good too.
Ever since I installed Pianoteq 5, I've had strange issues. I can't get Ivory II to make sound any more after I accidentally had both open at the same time.
When I first installed Pianoteq 5, I found it pretty CPU intensive. Now, after uninstalling and reinstalling the sound card driver and Ivory II, even at the very lowest latency setting of 2ms, there is very little CPU activity but I still detect a bit of latency (which I shouldn't), and at 5ms, the latency is somewhat noticeable.
When I use the WMD setting at 5ms, the latency is off the charts. Something is wrong.
Tomorrow, I'll uninstall everything and delete all registry entries. Then I'll start over to see if I can fix this.
