I don't have any Christmas songs to contribute but the topic is still a nice idea. Maybe someone will sneak something in during the next few days.
Now, if I could compose then maybe I could write something over the next few days while the big winter storm rolls across the area with a chance of 12 inches (or say 30cm for the metric folk) from Wed night into Saturday.
I have a midi I recorded a few years ago, and just dug it up (should probably have been left in the grave). However, because it's origins are from Provence (southeast France), in deference to our hosts, I will post it, pathetic as it is.
I have an orchestral version mp3 of this song at a much slower tempo which is excellent. I believe that traditionally it is played quite quickly (faster than my rendition), so I fall somewhere in between.
Hope this nudges someone else to be brave (or stupid).

Here's a little something for Christmas. A bit of seasonal jollity, written 2 days ago and (re)mixed this very Christmas morning:

Pianoteq was used for (1) the piano, (2) the harpsichord and (3) the marimba, and all the other instruments are either sampled or modeled as well.
There's 3 christmas tunes woven into the piece (and many of the other melodic fragments are derived from these tunes as well), although I'm not sure if the first one (as played by the muted trumpets and the guitar) is known very well outside Flanders and The Netherlands - it might well be a local traditional, I'm not sure. It's called "Hoe Leit Dit Kindeke" and, if anyone's interested, there's plenty of conventional versions to be found on YouTube. The two other tunes are certainly very familiar.

Enclosed is an mp3 of something I did about 15 years ago, via midi, on an ancient Roland JV-1080 hardware sample player -- definitely pre-Pianoteq. I apologize ahead of time for posting a file not made with Pianoteq, and will delete it after New Year's Day.

The sound is quite dated, compared to today's virtual samplers, but please remember this entire performance used less than 64MB (not GB) of sounds. I had just acquired the JV-1080 and made up this arrangement to exploit as many of its sounds, simultaneously.
