Topic: Organteq development

Does anyone know if Organteq is still being actively developed? It's nearly 2 years since the last changes....
I'm a long-term Hauptwerk user who got attracted to trying Organteq and I do think it has great possibilities but it does need some more work.
This is especially true of the provided stops - great if you are after something with a French or German flavour but not much help if you favour English or American organ styles!
Anyone know if there are any plans??

Yes, as far as I know, Modartt is still actively developing and supporting Organteq.
As always, we just have to wait…..

Best wishes,

Re: Organteq development

It probably goes slower but it's totally fine with me. I fully support Organteq 2 and will mention it among colleagues. I don't plan on buying Hauptwerk anytime soon and despise any iLok solution anyway.

Re: Organteq development

I’d especially like to see more detailed refinements as the next step. Simple things like several well-designed presets for Baroque and Romantic organs would already be a great addition. The current large selection mainly differs in details and reverb, but they don’t really represent the kinds of organs you would actually find in churches. (German Baroque / French Romantic Presets)

It would also be great to have ready-made presets for something like a small village organ with around 10 useful stops. Perhaps there could also be a few stops that you often encounter in the Netherlands, such as 6' or 12'. Some more practical presets for combinations/setzers would be welcome as well. In my opinion, the currently available combinations are often somewhat unusual and don’t always reflect registrations that one would commonly use in everyday playing. Fixed combinations like p, mf, f, ff

Another useful feature would be MIDI output when controlling the interface. For example, if Montre 8' responds to MIDI signal X, then it should also send signal X when I change it through OrganTEQ.

Overall, OrganTEQ is already in a very good position by now, and besides the technical improvements, I think it would be worthwhile to focus more on these kinds of details. Ideally, this would make it equally appealing to organ players and DAW users.
