Topic: Rimsky-Korsakov - The flight of the bumble bee
Dear friends, listeners,
I have played Bach Brandenburg 3, pieces from Handel Messiah, Albinoni, Dvorak, Grieg, Vivaldi, Pachelbel, Beethoven, Elgar, Buxtehude, Saint-Saens, Rubinstein, Mozart…..and many more all with Organteq, almost 200 pieces, not all uploaded…
And - I have to say, this piece of music was for me the most difficult, not everything got really right, but it should be enough. All I have listened to (organ) play it faster and again as a speed test? I put my tempo so you can follow the bumblebee's flight as I chase it and finally kill it with a bang (the last note)
The piece is from the opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan composed 1899-1900.
The composition is intended to musically evoke the seemingly chaotic and rapidly changing flying pattern of a bumblebee.
With my pupils long ago we watched a cartoon of the opera with the music. The pupils (10 years old) wanted to see it again and again and I was glad, they remember now the composer Korsakov and his music for the rest of their life ( a bit musical general education) I hope you can enjoy my way of playing it with my registration/my using of stops,
