Topic: Bach Video Fugue n 7 in E flat major BWV 852 from WTC I
Dear Friends,
I am republishing here this piece not only to continue my dream of recording the entire Well-Tempered Clavier I by Johann Sebastian Bach, which you have probably already seen in the recently concluded Contest. I hope you liked it, now a few words about this Fugue.
In contradiction to the seriousness and strength of the Prelude with the same key as a powerful piece, this Fugue (in 3 parts), a superfluous addition, almost seems like a harmless and cheerful postlude.
Who will dare to say whether the central motif of the theme with its tonal succession Eb Ab G ab c Bb, recalling the theme of the Grande fugue, was the result of chance, or of intention, or of the unconscious assimilation of creative ideas ?
Nobody knows this except Bach.
As usual, Pianoteq is excellent on my piano.
My actual setting is:
