Topic: Grunge rock going piano: Bluethner_Model_One_AB_(fazioli_rescaled)

This is a MIDI-recording of a sunday morning live performance that I happened to deliver in 2015 as a "Brunch-Pianist" in Mainz / Germany.

Since that time (PT5), Pianoteq got even better (PT8) so I decided to produce a version with updated sound (incl. MIDI-editing and non-Pianoteq effects).

It is not really a cover of that iconic Grunge-Rock song, rather a loose drifting through the songs ingredients.

I tried to give it a big fat but still subtle and nuanced sound with a hint of modal jazz. Let's call it "post rock piano"...

Hello TJ76,

Interesting music for me. There are some great sections, for example about 4,30 - 5,10. Love those chords!
And about 5,12 - 5,50. The left hand, very nice, great job!
Thanks for sharing, new kind of genre for me.

Life has funny way of opening our eyes and teaching us things. It might be pleasant, or not, but this was pleasant - enjoyable, easy to like.

Hey Stig,

thanks for your feedback! Early 90ties Grunge-Rock was the sound of my formative years so I'll love it for life. But there are allmost no keyboards let alone piano in that music. That's why from time to time I take the challenge to create somewhat consistent piano renditions of songs by the likes of Soundgarden, Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

Nice performance TJ, your song really rocks!
It was really nice to listen to it, and enjoy the dense notes and chords of Grunge Rock. Thanks for sharing it
