Stage 8 now comes with two instrument packs free for 139 euros.

A used licence for Pianoteq cannot be sold on yet again so it's value is somewhat diminished compared to a new copy.

Unless you are actually saying you have four instrument packs?

Also consider the additional cost of upgrading version 7 then consider your pricing.

thank you for pointing out brodie

Re: Selling my Pianoteq 7 Stage

I tried to buy this but the seller wanted me to send Amazon gift card because her Paypal was not working very well. I've decided not go ahead as it sounds a lot like a scam to me.

AFAIK - Paypal is the only way I can get buyer protection?

Any comments.

I would insist on PayPal.

Seller could possibly be genuine, but then again this is a known scam and that's why I wouldn't go that way either.

Re: Selling my Pianoteq 7 Stage

how it is a scam when i'm literally going first? something wrong with this guy.

Re: Selling my Pianoteq 7 Stage

It can look like a scam because a common scam is to get people to send some quickly redeemable or transferable item which cannot easily revoked, like a gift card, and then fail to provide the required goods.  Email addresses can turn out to be disposable so you've no way to deal with the problem.  You also cannot easily sue someone from one country in another.

PayPal provides buyer protection (and I use it myself for that reason).  Accepting PayPal is a sign (but not a guarantee) than the seller is not trying to scam you.

A seller saying they're having a problem with their PayPal account is a particularly bad sign.  If someone has a problem with PayPal it's usually because PayPal has a problem with them.

It's not a scam. I payed with a gift card for another licence of Magick33 and everything is fine.
I must say I insisted on using PayPal first, but this caused a problem (PayPal refunded).

I don't know what the "problem" is in this case, so I'm not making assumptions, just sharing my point of view.

I have a problem receiving funds with PayPal. I received money with it and sometimes I was able to get them with a check (paying a fee) and some others the money remained (and still is) in the account, unusable for further purchases and nonredeemable unless I give them my full bank coordinates, which I am too scared of big frauds for doing.

Not sure what exactly this means, but if the OP is giving the license first and then only upon successful transfer to buyer's satisfaction requesting payment, I think this is legit. Key word here is "successful", i.e. license appearing in the pianoteq buyer's account (and not transfer of the account which could still have some recovery option to be transferred back).

Where do I find a list of all posts I upvoted? :(

Re: Selling my Pianoteq 7 Stage

OP,
I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I am trying to protect people more broadly from scammers.

Therefore I suggest you find a more legit looking way to get funds in the future. Of course you could be entirely innocent but Amazon gift cards aren't meant to be used for transactions!

Cut 'n' paste directly from Amazon:

"Common Gift Card Scams
There are a variety of scams that ask people to make payments by email, phone, or text for items or services. Fraudsters use many methods to conduct scams, including requesting gift cards from well-known brands. We want to ensure that our customers are aware of scams that may request payment using Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards.

Has someone ever asked you to buy a gift card to pay them? Don't do it. It's very likely to be a scam. Legitimate individuals and businesses won't ever ask for payment through Amazon gift cards.

Amazon Gift Cards can only be used for purchases online at Amazon.co.uk. Only purchase Amazon Gift Cards on our website and from authorised retailers. To view a list of authorised retailers, go to Buying Amazon.co.uk gift cards at a store.

Common scams that may involve gift cards
How do I report a fraud or scam?
How do I identify a gift card scam?
Scams that ask for payment through gift cards generally:

make contact by phone, email, through social media or online.
create a sense of urgency (by offering a great price, mentioning a personal hardship/emergency or threatening consequences).
ask for payment using gift cards.
instruct the victim to buy gift cards online or at a nearby store.
demand or instruct the victim to provide the claim code and/or photographs of the physical gift card, then disappear."
