Topic: Heritage Hum (Pianoteq)

here's a tune not in the book, but since it's an improvisation from a lead sheet hopefully it's not out of bounds: Jimmy Heath's "Heritage Hum."  this tune and the chart both hold a special place in my heart.  when i was a kid my mother took me to see Jimmy and Percy Heath play at a local arts center.  i don't remember who the drummer and piano player were, unfortunately, but the concert made a huge impression on me.  i asked Jimmy if he had any music for sale, hoping it would give me some insight into what the piano player was doing (which was a total mystery to me), and he sold me this book of charts.  it didn't really help me understand what the piano player was doing, but i had a lot of fun trying to figure out what to do with them

WoW, I like the section about 2,40 - 3,25. There is some places some chinese-sound like... And good soft ending, last 30 seconds, also some chinese feeling. Now you had something different again - bravo!

Best wishes,

Stig
