Topic: Butterfly Waltz Bösendorfer Classical VC Classical Recording, no pedal
I don’t use the pedal in this piece, only in the last chord.
I tried to get a reverb so I can feel the butterfly ”out in the nature….."
As someone said: It sparkles delightfully under your fingers Well, what can I say - thanks for the kindness. Playing with my small old stiff thick fingers is not easy. And with a little hook on both pinky fingers…
(because people have asked why i don’t make Contest videos shoving my hands playing, as other players, have to say now, It’s because of my small hands, I don’t want to show my small hands on a video when playing in the contest every year. It’s an overreaction but I have always had a complex about my small hands. I might not have much life left, but unfortunately I have never overcome this "shyness". But I love Ptq/Orgtq and never intend to stop playing, even if it starts to slow down a bit….)
Description:
Erkki Melartin: Butterfly Waltz, Op. 22 No. 17. This piece is originally from a series of incidental music for a stage play of Sleeping Beauty by Zacharias Topelius, 1818 - 1898, swedish talking finnish writer, author, historian, journalist and poet.
The earliest “Sleeping Beauty” fairytale appears in oral tradition around the 1300s, different versions.
I have played this one before but wanted to try it with Bösendorfer Dreamy.
All the best, everyone
