Topic: Paul Ladmirault, 20th century Breton composer

In the course of exploring little traveled byways of 20th century music, I was turned on to the Breton composer Paul Ladmirault, who composed a number of professional level pieces for piano four hands.  I have started working on his Rhapsodie Gaélique, a suite in six movements with Scottish and Irish themes.

The first movement, Les Campbells Arrivent! (The Campbells Are Coming!) is a Highlander March.

Rhapsodie Gaélique I.

The second movement is the Danse des Fées (Fairy Dance).

Rhapsodie Gaélique II.

The third movement is a Nocturne.

Rhapsodie Gaélique III.

really enjoyed the performance of these three pieces.  great finds!  some crazy harmony going on in these.

Thanks!  I look forward to working on the remainder of the suite.
