Topic: Dynamic Piano: Vol 1

Collection of 20 songs in a (somewhat) classical style. These songs are more dynamic than most others I've posted here. NY Steinway Model D preset.

Comments welcome, even if you hate it. Actually I can't say if anyone will like this style but me.

Enjoy!

”more dynamic than most others I've posted”. Yes, absolutely, this is different. From the first seconds it hit me ah, here is something new interesting.
The name is adequate. Like some classical music, don’t know what music….

The dynamics in this Vol.1 have variation in loudness between notes, phrases and sections. The intensity of loudness / softness, gradual and sudden changes, can be heard. You have a good start here, so good that I would like to hear even more of the dynamic if possible.

Because, dynamics are an important way of conveying the mood in your music and your use of dynamics is always a marked element of your performance - it change the mood.

The mood, it was the first thing when I listened some seconds, your music changed my mood.  Can you have a larger gap between the loudest sound and the quietest one? Anyway, you are on the right track now ken.

Vol 3 of Relaxing I said is the best so far. Now I think this one is even slightly better! There are slow pp parts in some sections that i like very much.
Thanks again ken. Keep going!

Best wishes,

Stig

P.S. I don't succeed myself and always struggle with the dynamics but my keyboard has almost no touch sensitivity...

Hi Stig,

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments!!  I'm glad to hear the dynamics came through, without being too wild, I think that is always a concern when there isn't a human hand and emotion directly connected. I have to try via proxy of the software to push the emotion through. I will experiment with some greater volume gaps to see if I can keep them from getting out of hand or feeling too random.

Haha I hope it didn't change your mood in a bad way.

Thanks for the encouragement and comments on Relaxing Vol 3 too!

PS. Maybe Modartt to should resell some nice keyboards and give away to the most prolific forum members (I am sure you'd be at the top of that list).
