Topic: Asio Puffer
Hello, when I play with the VPC and Pianoteq for about 15 minutes I get noise. One click on the Asio buffer and I can continue playing. What is to blame for this problem? . CPU is not overloaded, I would be grateful for a tip.

Sounds like an issue with the asio driver...
What audio device are you using?
What buffer size are you using?
Are you using an asio driver from the manufacturer or the general ASIO4ALL driver?
This guide could be helpful:

Hello Georg,
thank you for your commitment!
Audio Zoom U 24
Asio 4 All
Buffer 512
I have implemented parts of your help Cantabilessoftware as far as my abilities, but not everything is possible. A little better, but still there.
Windows 11
Had the problem with my old PC, then bought a new one. Unfortunately, I didn't know that PCs from the gaming sector are not well suited.
With Latenyc Mon I have further as a problem the ACPI.sys found out, makes problems, may I remove it ?
ASIO4ALL is known for causing issues...
First thing, you should try, is to install the driver from the manufacturer. And use this instead of ASIO4ALL in your DAW/Pianoteq.
https://zoomcorp.com/documents/2732/U-2....2.0_E.zip
And buffer size of 512 seems pretty high, this should be below 128, otherwise you will have latency issues.
Yes, don't use ASIO4all but genuine asio drivers first.
ACPI should not be removed (it does a lot of things under the hood) but you can try disabling it. Gamer PC's are not an issue either, my MSI does a very good job. But graphics card drivers are sometimes a problem, as well as (wifi) internet connection. Try disabling as much as you can...
Hello Georg, Hello Luc,
Zoom U 24 driver is now in it, now have a very, very high latency and need feedback on how I can lower it again.
Buffer 128 , even less doesn't help either.
Graphics card is disabled, I cannot deactivate the APPI.sys on my system.
Internet disconnected.
Are there any other things I can do?
Thank you greetings Horber

I don't know the U24, but looking at its manual, it seems that there are different MIDI configurations available, and depending on whether you are on Mac or Windows, you will have to use one or the other... Quite confusing , but check this.
As a last resort, try "WASAPI" instead of ASIO...

Hallelujah after an unsuccessful purchase and exchange of a PC, I have now succeeded, I have exchanged the zoom u 24 for a Motu M2 interface, the cracking problem is gone. Thank you for your commitment!!!
