Topic: When MAY I select the instruments with a new purchase- Can I wait?

Hi All,
looking at buying Pianoteq Standard - Can I delay choosing some of my instruments or must I choose all of them immediately I register? I KNOW it must be here somewhere but I can't seem to find the answer.
Cheers!

All your questions are answered in the frequently asked questions section on the website:

"How many instrument packs are included with Pianoteq?
As from 2019, all new purchases include a number of instrument packs as follows: Pianoteq Stage: 2, Pianoteq Standard: 3, Pianoteq Pro: 4. These can be selected, free of choice, during registration.
I chose the wrong instrument pack during registration. What can I do?
If you change your mind regarding any of the chosen instrument packs during registration, please contact us within 14 days. We will then change it for you.

Do upgrades include free instrument packs?
As from 2019, if you upgrade your product from Pianoteq Stage to Standard, or from Pianoteq Standard to Pro, you get 1 additional instrument pack for free. If you upgrade from Pianoteq Stage to Pro, you get 2 additional instrument packs for free. You will be able to select these, free of choice, during registration."

Thanks for that KF!
So - to paraphrase- I MUST chose all instrument packs at registration BUT can change my mind for 2 weeks?
Much appreciated.

No, you can register and wait to choose your additional pack.
That’s what I am currently doing right now.

Paulo,
Are you saying their frequently asked questions needs updating?

I put their current stated procedure in bold. It's all just a straight quote from Modartt taken today.

I’d say demo as much as possible in general. Different sound systems, different settings and musical pieces.

Check repeated playing in different key ranges - some models sound too metallic to some people at the higher register.

Since it’s locked in after 2 weeks, best to be sure.

Re: When MAY I select the instruments with a new purchase- Can I wait?

Hi Again - Just to confirm in case others search the same topic.

I have now bought PianoTeq standard and it is  exactly as Key Fumbler said: You MUST select ALL THREE of the instrument packs at the same time when you activate your registration for PianoTeq Standard. If you select less, it generates an error and requires you to select more....

For the record I selected the  Steinway D; Petrof and YC5 (I play a Yamaha C2X at home).

NOW the fun begins ;-)

Petrof Mistral is my favorite!
