Is there a way to active or deactivate all control notes or a range of consecutive control notes in the spectrum profile in the note edit section of the Pro version at the same time?

Yes, right click on the rail just above the keyboard and select either "Edit all notes" or "Clear all notes".

Thank you, that works. But I noticed once you clear all notes (or any individual note) , the specific spectrum profile for those notes are lost. Why would that be useful? And also, in the spectrum profiles of different instruments some of the yellow buttons for the control notes are framed by a black square. What does that mean?

Those are unmodified black notes (sharp or flat whichever way you like to see them). White unmodified notes are framed by a grey square.
