Topic: Bach Goldberg Variations (1/3) Aria-Var.9

https://youtu.be/V4eSNOzVqtU?si=M3-BXW4W_-2HH95m

I recorded this piece more than a decade ago.
At that time, I used Grand 2 vsti as the sound source.
Later I changed to Pianoteq, but not satisfied yet
... until I found a way to re-color note patterns.
It is somewhat like re-coloring a BW film to a color film.
I re-arranged different tone colors to different notes, making it sound more colorful.
Using all 12 modern piano presets from Pianoteq, the result is promising.
It took me about a week to re-arrange the tone colors of notes for 1/3 of the Goldberg.
So, it will take me another week to finish 2/3 and another week to complete 3/3.

Best wishes for all

Hi k.c. Paul,

Beautiful! Brilliant!

The sound quality of the recording is first-class. When you have all 30, the album's a gem. (especially for ”us” audiophiles who are curious about how pieces are recorded and the science behind how sounds are reproduced).

I like the slow parts, your way of playing, letting the harmony speak softly for itself (var 15). You are showing great skill.

Many films have featured Bach's Goldberg Variations (Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, The English Patient, Captain Fantastic…..

Thank you k c Paul. Very well done, playing and sound, in slow parts I can hear the changes in tone color, it is not only more or less volume, there is much more in your sound
I hope you are glad to hear that.

Best wishes,

Stig
