Topic: Standalone multi midi Channel pitch bend error- Standard Standalone.

Hi folks,
I have been speaking to Niclas Fogwall on support.
I have an unusual issue on the standalone Standard.
It's not a big issue for me but I'm now curious as to why he can't replicate it!
There by strange gremlins!

I have multiple midi keyboards set to different channels. If I flick the midi pitch bend a few times(say on channel 2)  it messes up the pitch on the keys on the other channel ( say 16). Flick the pitch bend down and they stay wrong - you don't have to keep your hand on the pitch wheel.  What's more this doesn't happen immediately you can do it a few times without it happening.

For instance set one keyboard to channel 16 and another one to channel 1.
Flick the pitchbend a few times and eventually the entire secondary keyboard is playing the wrong pitch. Not the keyboard with the pitch bend the other one. The other channel is messed up.
You can only hear the results whilst playing. However if you record in Pianoteq it doesn't record it. However the MIDI does capture this.

No other piano is playing. The sound on the digital piano is turned off.

So you got to set Pianoteq to different channels for different keyboards. Pick a standard factory single piano patch and standard out of the box settings.

Pitch bend is not supposed to change different channels but here it clearly is.

Anyway anyone with any multiple keyboard setups with keyboard set to different channels try flicking the pitch bend a few times see if you can replicate this.  Again it's standalone only - I couldn't replicate this in the DAW. I'm running Windows 11.

Maybe it's just me maybe it's just my system?

Re: Standalone multi midi Channel pitch bend error- Standard Standalone.

This was solved by a Niclas Fogwall support question. Oddly changing the audio buffer size down from 480 to 192 cured it!

That's a weirdy!

New version 8.1.3 just out which has apparently solved this configuration sensitive multi midi channel pitch bug.
