Topic: Earl Wild - Etude No 4 (Embraceable You)

Here is an attempt at Earl Wild's Etude no. 4 from his "7 Virtuoso Etudes after Gershwin". This particular one is based on the Gershwin song "Embraceable You", and Earl Wild clothes Gershwin's melody with shimmering figurations on the piano.

Here I have used the Steinway Model D (Hamburg) with the "Closed Mic Classical" preset and some minor adjustments to the velocity response curve.

I hope you will enjoy the piece, and thank you for listening !

Hey budo,

Thanks for your comment! Glad you enjoyed it.

I didn't know about these etudes either until recently, when I stumbled on this particular one by chance on YouTube. They are really nice to listen to - he has one based on "I got rhythm" which sounds like a lot of fun to play

Keep well..
