Topic: iPad app (upgrade price if I already have the PC version)

Is there any concession or discount when buying the PianoTeq iPad app if I already have the PC version? It is a bit confusing when the instructions mention previous downloads.

Re: iPad app (upgrade price if I already have the PC version)

From the FAQ section:

"How do I unlock or update my existing licence in the iOS app?
In the Pianoteq iOS app, go to Options > Instruments. There, press on the "Restore purchases" button. You may be asked to log in to your user account. Your app will then be updated, taking into account what products you have registered in your user account.

Is the iOS app for iPhone/iPad included with Pianoteq 8?
Yes. You can download and evaluate the app via the App Store."

In other words, no need to worry if there's a discount when purchasing Pianoteq for iOS when you already have it on PC.  The iOS version is included in your current license.  It's free.

The iOS version does count as one of the three computers you're allowed to run Pianoteq on, however the iOS version is somewhat special, because all iPads/iPhones that use the same AppleID count together as a single device for licensing purposes.  So you could, e.g.,  install Pianoteq on a (1) Windows PC, (2) a Mac laptop, and (3) as many iPads/iPhones as you have that use the same AppleID.

Re: iPad app (upgrade price if I already have the PC version)

Well, I’ve tried to do what I have been told, but it just won’t work. I tried my email but after the second letter, I got shut  out. I tried the serial number but there are only four fields in the iOS app and five in the PC version. Have the responders actually tried to get the iOS version registered?

I successfully registered mine using the instructions from the FAQ. You might want to email support@modartt.com, if those aren't working. Good luck!

I must appologise. There was some sort of glitch with both of my iPads. After fiddling around a bit, everything is now working. Many thanks to those that helped.
