Topic: Pearlie's Swine (Pianoteq)

here's a rather obscure tune from the book, Pearlie's Swine by Steve Kuhn.  i actually like his playing a lot (he has a fantastic solo piano album that's part of the Maybeck Recital series).  this tune is from his "electronic days."  i really like the feel and the chord progression.  in fact the passage from E minor to F# minor in bars 8-12 is one of my favorite parts.

I like this a lot, the overriding rhythm reminds me a lot of Emerson Lake and Palmer vibe. Thanks for sharing this!

Wonderful budo! I like the feel and chord progression in many places.

Without further analysis this time- but, of course the end: very nice this ritardando and diminuendo from 5,50 -to end.
I think it's a new way of your many ways to end a piece of music. Bravo!

If interested, there was a fantastic jazz singer, Monica Zetterlund, Sweden. that was singing this piece in 60s 70s about

One more nice tune. Something "moody"... I like your "drummy" left hand even if the right one is not innocent , if I dare describe it like this.

Really cool budo! Loved your energy in this. Kept coming alive more and more throughout.

thank you for your comments and for the tip about Monica Zetterlund.  i know her from her work with Bill Evans and had no idea that she recorded this (or that it even had lyrics).  she did a whole album of Steve Kuhn's music, that's so awesome!
