FYI, this one goes on sale a lot. You can usually pick it up for around $10 either during a sale or off knobcloud.

Re: Does Modartt make synth software?

Technically speaking all of Modartt's software is synthesizers!

They do not make typical virtual analogue or virtual subtractive software synthesizers - unless they do that as a secret side Hustle!

Nice, $10?

Why is the interface so similar to Pianoteq? Do they share a common plugin framework or something?

Would be nice to get a version of this with the Modartt brand, or even better, have it integrated with Pianoteq.

I am puzzled by you finding any similarities!
Initially  I was looking elsewhere on the screen to see what you were on about.

If you have a DAW you can open any synthesizer you like at the same time as opening up Pianoteq.  You could create templates with both your chosen plugin and Pianoteq so they open up at the same time on the same track.

It is because both products use https://juce.com/ for the interface & audio device management -- JUCE is widely used in the audio plugin industry.

Now I am puzzled. What is it about that plugin that looks remotely similar to you guys?

Audio interface config looks similar to Pteq devices page. I didn’t see much beyond that.

Oh that's very interesting! Thanks for sharing, I wasn't familiar with JUCE.

@Key Fumbler if you haven't used the Options/Devices pane much historically, you would not notice any similarities.

I have though (in Standard and Stage not Pro).

Still drawing a blank here. I'm probably missing some obvious visual cue on the fonts or boxes or something you have picked up on. I've got lots of virtual software with similar options settings pages - form following function. Not sure it's anything to do with Juce, happy to be proven wrong here.
Perhaps I will have to do a direct ab on those two synthesizers later.

Anyway Pianoteq is a superb modelling synthesizer. I've spent very little time on the other synth. Not a bad plugin just unremarkable in the crowded market.
