Topic: The Clavichord Galaxy

More Following ons from my experiments using a DAW...

Here is the third 'baby' arrangement of an original ditty.

Now for the grateful bit...

I didn't explain this in my previous ditty - Potty_Vallotti. But I noticed some of you realised that I wasn't using Equal Temperament (and maybe got inspired?)

PianoTeq understands temperaments and will display said temperament as either:

  • Cents or ration

  • Cents

  • Difference from Equal Temperament

  • Frequencies

  • Deviation from Perfect 5th

  • Deviation from Perfect 3rd

Using "Difference from Equal Temperament" it is possible to 'tune' the CSi Compact DeLuxe to a different temperament - albeit not in a refined way...

Copy of my spreadsheet which calculates the settings to use (figures in red):

Re: The Clavichord Galaxy

Nice experiment ! It has a 60's vibe (imo). Can imagine this for some intros of famous bands' pieces.

Thanks for your comment - it brought a smile to my face.

This is no longer the case as the presets and user programs are stored in an xlm file which will allow editing of these values and gain a precise detuning amount.

Always lots to discover if you know where to look
