Why is Hammer Noise in Standard while Release is in Stage

Hello, is there any reason behind Modartt putting the "hammer noise" in Pianoteq Standard and up, but they also put its counterpart, "key release noise" in Pianoteq Stage and up? It doesn't seem right because lots of pianos don't just have a loud release noise but no hammer noise (you hear the release noise with a close mic setup, which therefore also includes hammer noise). So why did they do this? It's almost like they're forcing me to upgrade or something lol.
