Topic: Nightfall fugitive (samples and Pianoteq)

Hello everyone,

Here is my latest composition in an American cinema spirit of the 60s (escape, runaway, suspense)...

I use a Spitfire Audio orchestra (BBCSO pro) and a SWAM audio modeling clarinet, various things again, and of course a little Pianoteq 7...

Thank you for your listening and advice!

Hello, don't hesitate to give me some advice! I'm a taker!

Re: Nightfall fugitive (samples and Pianoteq)

Bonjour Jean-Christophe,

From a technical point of view I would never have believed that such realism could be achieved with those sample banks.
Musically speaking, your music reaches me deep in my feelings !
Merci et bravo !

Perfect (but the cut at the end ?) !

WoW! A Masterpiece! Wonderful, harmonious, symphonious, especially in form, themes, harmonious arrangement…..

I think the introduction and the end are phenomenal - what a contrast - they are opposites!

I tried to distinguish different instruments. The clarinet is fantastic, ll horn, V oboe, Vl French horn, Vlll trombone, then somewhere there was tuba, carillon(glockenspiel), nice oboe, flutes….and those fantastic violins, cello……

In my youth I had a brass band, conductor, with tuba trombone horn clarinet flute drums (pupils 11 to 16 years old).
So,  this time I wanted to listen several times to try to distinguish the different instruments.

All in all - a treasure!  Thank you Krisp

Best wishes,

Stig

Or indeed. It's expeditious

There were good and bad reasons for this :

Without going into details, I would say that the good reasons were to go towards a certain emergency and then a sudden break in tone, resuming the initial state just evoked, even shorter, as a simple fleeting memory.

The bad reason: I wrote this between the end of February and the beginning of March, and I was interrupted by a professional trip with a difficult adaptation to jet lag. I initially wanted to alternate and superimpose an end with symphonic climaxes and jazzy but the writing challenge was then no longer compatible with an immense laziness felt on my return!... So I opted for a more condensed version!

Indeed, there are many solo instruments that emerge from the orchestra in turn. We can add a few: double bass clarinet, contrabassoon, piccolo, English horn, and even some bass flute trills! And a percussion part that also includes some peculiarities (a vibraphone accompaniment, some celesta notes, the piano and the harp that are finally to be considered as decorative and accompaniment elements)...

Production may be expensive in additional musicians! Haha!

Bonjour Gaston,

Hello! Thank you very much for your comment.

Indeed, I tend to let myself be trained a little sometimes, even if it means having a little trouble falling back on my feet!

I will listen to your achievements with pleasure.

Now, I am looking for other ideas and themes for a new project. I have a few leads, (and a little less time) but suggestions are welcome!
