Topic: The Fabelmans...they could have just used Pianoteq

We just watched the recent Steven Spielberg film, "The Fabelmans". It is an autobiographical story about Spielberg's early years. His mother was trained as a pianist, so there is lots of piano music through the score. The link above is to an interview with John Williams talking about how he created a piano-oriented score rather than his usual orchestra-oriented score. While the text is good, it's best to listen to the roughly 4 minute interview that is linked from within the article.

There is even one scene that is accompanied by some Scott Joplin played on a studio tack-piano....just to think, rather than having tuned and modified pianos, all of this in the score could have been handled by Pianoteq!

Great movie.  8^D
