Topic: Duparc, chanson triste

Hello everyone,

I share my last video here:
Recorded in home studio condition. (hence my headphones on the ears...)

I first recorded the piano, then filmed myself during the voice recording. Pure and hard DIY! Haha...
And like that, I present my face to you at the same time!

I hope you don't think I'm too pretentious... Well, it's also fun and an opportunity to test these modern techniques in my office, in my free time.

Re: Duparc, chanson triste

sounds great! no problems at all with the video.  i thought it was great to see the performer in action

Re: Duparc, chanson triste

How exquisitely musical and a powerful voice.I think you are blessed with an extraordinarily voice. I enjoyed this one very much. Good singing, good playing, well done video and nice to see you singing.
Thank you so much. Waiting for next.

p.s. when I was young I sang in a choir and had some solo parts sometimes. Now been retired 15 years.

Best wishes,

Stig

Loved this - a very well made and enjoyable production. Such fine aesthetic values both musically and visually (also just sought out other vids you have posted to Youtube - much to enjoy.)

Agree, it's good to see the performer, and here you also did a marvellous job performing!, with excellent piano supporting the voice.. I think without pretence. I'd only encourage anyone to embrace the 'demands' of their artistic self - it's certainly where unique artistry unfurls (even in interpretive works this is true).

Definitely would love that more users could visit to experience your works - and that of the other friendly Pianoteq lovers who share their wonderful music and time and expertise here.

Again, bravo!

Haha! In any case, thank you for your kind message.

For my part, I'm not retired yet, and I'll have to try to sing for a long time, I hope (since it's my job)... (Often in choirs by the way)

Your message is very encouraging! Thank you again. I will also take the time to listen to as many contributions as possible on the forum.

Hallo Krisp,

i have listened to the chanson triste several times. I am delighted with the composition and the interpretation. I have rarely heard music by Henri Duparc. I have therefore consulted Wikipedia:

Thank you very much for your beautiful contribution.

With kind regards

Re: Duparc, chanson triste

It's been a while since I heard this song.
Very nice rendition of both the piano and the singing.
