Topic: What's new in 8.0.3?
Is there somewhere on the website I should look? Release notes?
Thanks

The few minor bugs I had in 8.0.2 are already fixed in 8.0.3, Pianoteq support is great! Thank you very much!
On my laptop, Norton Antivirus blocked the installation of 8.0.3, said some files presented a security threat. When I looked at the message, it was mostly PNG files, the logo and such that were considered security threats. Then also OGG files, which I presume are the audio files for previewing the presets, in the preset manager.
I tried skipping the problematic files (not recommended) but then I assumed it would take forever, if I'd have to skip all of the preset preview files, since there are a lot of presets. So I canceled the installation. To my surprise Pianoteq showed up as 8.0.3, in spite of an unfinished installation.
To be on the safe side, I uninstalled Pianoteq, rebooted, ran the installation file for 8.0.3, and everything seemed to install fine. I'm going to do the same thing on my main (desktop) computer, where I also have Norton 360. Has anybody else had their antivirus software block the installation of v8.0.3?
Btw, one fun fact. The very first start after installation of v8.0.3 shows
./Pianoteq\ 8/x86-64bit/Pianoteq\ 8
ios_unlicensed_blahblah: bounds=[x=0, y=0, w=590, h=213] visible=0
ios_unlicensed_blahblah: bounds=[x=0, y=0, w=590, h=213] visible=0
Julien is alway way fast in fixing issues & bugs after listen to pianoteq users.
I'm currently facing unexpected CPU peaks with P8.0.3 not present in P8.0.2.
Am I all alone or someone else is facing the same issues?

Not that I've noticed yet - Intel i7 64bit Win 10, Pianoteq Standard.
When asking questions like this it helps to know your Pianoteq version, operating system, CPU and anything about the presets that you might have changed.

Thanks Key Fumbler, I'm on Pianoteq standard. The instrument I was playing is a model B with many tweaks, starting from the mic positions, the condition, th unison with, dynamic, eq, and effects.
My HW is pretty old but I was able to play pianoteq with 2 mics at 128 samples. It is a win7 with a Core Duo 2. Now it happens that the cpu spikes randomly causing drops even after stop playing for 10s and more.

I would increase the buffer until it works without issues. Try 256 and play it for a while, maybe drop to 224 try again. Maybe you will notice slight difference at first but that will only be momentary if the system latency isn't too bad.
Try 44.1khz too perhaps.
See what the next update brings, or drop back a version.

Although I can't reproduce loss of performance I can see more detailed blue dot data in the running display.
Some scattered blue dots are showing both lower and higher now, than I remember.
Overall though, I still see the same 'performance index' number and do not seem to be suffering a new lack of performance associated.
Apart from buffer and kHz changes, other things like setting your CPU to full power could help (if not already done).

At the end I feel P8 is more demanding of P7 and then the most simple thing is to finally upgrade my PC.
Besides, I don't think that increasing the buffer to 256spls can be a satisfying experience (I do believe that 64spls is good, 128spls is sufficient, more than 128 the experience becomes unrealistic for the excessive latency).
