Topic: MuseScore 4.0 midi out --> Pianoteq

Hello, did anyone managed to have the latest MuseScore connect to Pianoteq ? I'm using Ubuntu 22.04.1, the MuseScore 4.0 AppImage, and Pianoteq 8.0.3 -- which works well with simpler programs like Frescobaldi and Rosegarden.

Hi, I use also ubuntu 22.04 and MuseScore doesn't run as expected, only my Midi keyboard is visible. I tried to compile it from source but the
compilation failed. MuseScore 3 with Jack runs fine!

Compiling again (one lib was missing), so MuseScore runs "native" same issues as in the AppImage.

Looking around the forums, it appears that MuseScore 4 will not support Jack; the message at startup is a leftover that will be removed. For now, they support only plugins like VST; I wasn't lucky with LV2...

Then there's the "musehub" closed source server, running as root, which is needed to access the new sound fonts: I don't feel comfortable to have that running on my computer. See https://musescore.org/en/node/337906

So back to the basics: it happens that, for my personal use, Emacs and Lilypond are enough
