Topic: Loading presets into Stage

What happens if you load a preset in Stage, it said that "extra settings are not loaded" when loading in Stage. If the mic settings are altered in the preset, which mic settings will be used in Stage by then? Some kind of standard mic settings?

Unless something has changed the Stage version is incompatible with the forum FXPs. You have to use the factory presets or your own.

Oh, I must have misinterpreted that sentence then.
"In PIANOTEQ Stage, preset loading is limited to parameters that are present in the interface"

I thought it would load parts of the preset. This makes more sense though. Guess I'll have to keep a demo version installed as well in order to "reveal" the mic settings of the presets.

Re: Loading presets into Stage

The forum presets will load but any Standard or Pro exclusive features won't happen for Stage users.
In my humble opinion that renders most of them effectively useless in Stage - other than presets made with Stage in mind. IOW no changes made in the microphone positions of a factory preset and no physical model changes to the model created in Standard exclusive options.

It says:
" In PIANOTEQ Stage, preset loading is limited to parameters that are present in the interface. Presets built with PIANOTEQ PRO can be loaded in PIANOTEQ Standard without limitation."

IOW you aren't going to get the same experience that someone with Standard or Pro gets.

Basically what that means for instance is it someone has altered a physical model with Pro or Standard someone else with Standard or Pro will hear all the changes to the physical model.

On the other hand with Stage you could probably hear the changes in the FX section, not much else. So if someone has stretched the string length or move the hammers for instance only users with Standard or Pro will hear that.
