walidhossaini wrote:Hi everyone,
I recently purchased Pianoteq 8 Standard and recorded my very first recording on NY Steinway D Classical.
You can watch my performance here https://youtu.be/oJ8D32EKgJE
I haven't changed any settings or presets.
I was wondering if you guys could share with me some tips, advice or suggestion for the best sound quality.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Walid
Welcome to the forum walidhossaini, nice to have you on board and nice playing. Waiting for more.
Well, we all have different taste about what is good and what sounds good, and we hear differently. And of course it depends on the piece of music which sound to use.
Here something to try, only a few things
Move the condition slider, down above the keyboard, to the right, to 8 or 12 or something and listen
Change the velocity curve or try calibration…
Click on the pictutre to get” Tuning Voicing Design” and move Unison width a bit to the right….listen
Sometimes I myself like a bit more of Sympathetic resonance (Design)
Equalizer and Efffects change the sound
Don’t try too much in beginning, maybe better to try different pianos and presets…The more I did in beginning it sounded worse than the preset sometimes
Now after 10 years with Ptq I don’t chage so much anymore, but it is of course always nice to test and try a bit………. I’m a bit of an experimenter.
Best,
Stig
