Topic: Clickzones of buttons seem off - Bug or feature?

As a non native speaker this one is hard to describe for me.

The volume meter above the volume slider now acts as a mute button.
The clickzone seems to be slightly higher than the actual volume meter.
I always have to click above the imaginary horizontal middle line of the meter to mute PTQ.
And the clickzone doesn't end with the upper edge of the meter, instead it ends in the black background.
Regardless of screen resolution and magnification.

Furthermore on the right panel (Action, Mallet Bounce, Equalizer, Note Effects, Effects) the buttons turn light grey if the mouse hovers over them.
So far so good.
But they are clickable even before they turn light grey, even before the very tip of the mouse cursor touches them.

And this goes for every clickable button in PTQ, even in the EQ and the microphone window.
It's all clickable as soon as the cursor is in proximity.

Am I making sense?

Is this supposed to be like this?

"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

Re: Clickzones of buttons seem off - Bug or feature?

These are commony called "Hotspots" and I am seeing that as well though I hadn't noticed it. The Mute zone is a bit too narrow (not active in the lower third of the meter), and the zones for Action, Mallet Bounce, Equalizer, Note Effects, Effects are all a bit too wide, extending well below the button borders but not above them. The zones for the listening mode and Microphone buttons are very wide, extending both above and below the button graphics.

I think it's a feature. I asked about it once and I was told it was to help people with disabilities. And also for more imprecise touchscreen interaction if I remember well.

Ah, makes sense. I thought it was either a weird GUI scaling issue or a result of sloppy programming (which I didn't expect from Modartt).

Solely the only half clickable volume meter is irritating.
