Window Update May Break Your System...

Just a heads up:

Windows 10 installed a new update, and it broke my system.  The laptop is connected to my Roland and runs Pianoteq. As soon as the update was installed, I could no longer get sound through my headphones.  After trying several different things, I suspected it might be the update. I used "system restore" to roll it back to right before the update was installed, and now it is once again working perfectly.

It may not do this to your system, and if you use an earlier version of Windows it may not affect you (even though I imagine it is the same update).  But just in case you find you have this problem you now know what caused it and how to fix it!

I'm guessing that is something specific to your hardware. I have automatic rolling updates enabled and I haven't had any issues of that form.
If this does happen to me I will report it here.

I have rolling updates too, and never had a problem before. This is a new laptop with everything up to date. I doubt it is my hardware or that I'm the only person on the planet to have a problem. . Updates sometimes do cause problems, and Microsoft lists problems from an update as one reason to use system restore. I noted that it wouldn't affect everyone, but wanted to give people a heads up just in case.
