Topic: PTQ is an amazing product

This isn't a question and I'm not even sure this qualifies as a real topic.
I just wanted to say thank you for an amazing product that is well worth its price.

I first heard about PTQ just before v4.5 was released (2014).
It sounded amazing even back then, especially compared to the "competition".
I mean.. PTQ is the reason I've bought an electric piano to begin with.
The first time an electric piano came close enough to sound like a real piano.

I started with the Stage edition, and in the following couple of years, I upgraded to Standard and then Pro.
I'm far from being a professional, but given its price tag, why not go for the best of the best?

So.. this is me, a very happy customer.
Keep up this amazing job you guys are doing!

I came in at version five with Stage and I am still very happy fumbling around with Standard. I ditched the taxidermy like sample pianos.

Electric piano is a term often used interchangeably with digital piano.
For many here electric piano means mechanical electric pickup pianos such as CP70, CP80, EP308,  Rhodes and Wurly.

Re: PTQ is an amazing product

I'd never heard of Pianoteq when I stumbled upon it in an internet search when it was fledgling. I have never regretted purchasing it (a physical box with a disk and pamphlet!!! Some may have thought I left the forums over recent years as I had not been posting prolifically as I used to. But no, I've not left the forums, on the contrary, I still check in regularly to see new posts and am still on the Pianoteq news mailing list.

I wish to thank all the Modartt team, the Beta testers, all the forum members and everyone who has purchased Pianoteq (and/or Organteq). I also wish the very best to you all.

Warmest regards,

Chris

Re: PTQ is an amazing product

I have been here from the very first Pianoteq edition.
Well, I was actually the very first person in the world who bought it

I don't remember what led me to Pianoteq that day, but when I heard a demo and subsequently dowloaded a demo version, I thought it was so amazing (at the time) that I immediately bought it

this was a really good decision, because look where we are today with Pianoteq!

Re: PTQ is an amazing product

I first bought Pianoteq in 2007. It was far from perfect back then, but its potential was immediately obvious to me.

Today, I'm still a very happy Pianoteq user. As I wrote in another recent post, I've stopped using sampled pianos altogether.

I recently made a recording of Ann Southam's 'Soundings for a New Piano' (1986), which you can listen to here: https://soundcloud.com/jan-van-dijkhuiz...o-ii-1986.

I hope with all the current doom and gloom people choose to cheer themselves up with the new version. Before we potentially all go up in smoke anyway. No doubt it will be something special.

Be careful not to expect too much
