Topic: CLP785, GP510 and Numa X GT as MIDI controllers

Hi,

Anyone around here tried these DP's as MIDI controllers? Feedback on consistency and playability?

I have the GP310 (same hardware as GP510) and it is excellent, the keyboard is very playable indeed (it has high-resolution MIDI, not sure if that makes a difference). It feels much more natural to play through Pianoteq than the onboard sounds (which are very average) but then I’m probably so used to Pianoteq. However, the line-in is unusable (too much static) so you can’t really play Pianoteq through the onboard speakers (should you so wish).

You can use the LineIN if the midi or dac is connect over an "USB Isolator, galvanic isolation host<>device".
I did that with: https://www.reichelt.de/de/de/usb-isola...0.html?r=1 (I'm from Germany so I didn't why to buy in other countries)

Ahh thank you so much, I will get myself one of these USB isolators!
