Topic: Sabre Dance - Just an experiment using Organteq and Pianoteq

Sabre Dance is a movement in the final act of Aram Khachaturian's ballet Gayane, where the dancers display their skill with sabres.

Just a fun test

Thank you BarbaraRB! Nice to get a superlativ   I learned that the word is from Italian, superlative of bravo.

Best wishes,

Stig

Formidable!

Thanks BarbaraRB! It's wonderful that in addition to all the knowledge about Ptq/Orgt, music of various kinds and so on.....you can also build up a dictionary for yourself I get much from Gaston and now we have you too.

After bravissimo I now learned about formidable:
”If you describe something or someone as formidable, you mean that you feel slightly frightened by them because they are very great or impressive”. Synonyms: powerful, tremendous……..There are many more descriptions about the word.

It's great to have you on board BarbaraRB, among 5760 other registered ”passengers” on this Modartt ship  at the moment

Best wishes,

Formidable in French means amazing, or awe inspiring. Different connotation than in English. They are spelled the same but pronounced differently. I've capitalized the syllables you emphasize, below.

English: for MID a bull
French: for me DAH bluh
