Topic: Hey There (Pianoteq)

another real book tune, this time Hey There.  this is a really fun progression to play that seems totally straightforward, but nevertheless has some quirky parts that make it stand out.  it originally appeared in the musical The Pajama Game, but jazz players know it because of Bill Evans's treatment on his famous Conversations With Myself.

Hey there, budo !    This is perfect. Thank you so much budo!

”but nevertheless has some quirky parts that make it stand out.”
Well, don’t know about that, but I know some wonderful parts where your playing really stands out - attract attention, playing is excellent.

1,00 - 1,50 love it    1,57 - 2,10 wonderful bass left hand   about 2,40 - 3,40  best part, really really enjoyable
Nice that the ending 3,40 - end is the melody like in beginning, a bit varied. it took me down to the earth again. And nice two last chords

budo, it’s a true joy to listen to you. You deserve more views!
Thank you,
Stig

thank you so much for listening and for your great comments.  probably the quirkiest part is the C7 that shows up in bar 5 (and later).  that's really unexpected!
