Topic: From F. Mendelssohn Organ Sonata No 3, Second movement (Organteq)

From F. Mendelssohn Organ Sonata No 3, Second movement - Andante tranquillo Op 65

Felix Mendelssohn’s six Organ Sonatas,Opus 65, were published in 1845. Mendelssohn's biographer Eric Werner has written of them: Next to Bach’s works, Mendelssohn's Organ Sonatas belong to the required repertory of all organists. Well, I'm not an organist, just an old amateur, but I managed to play it

Using, again, a new registration, - having Positf Drawknob #10 Musette 8 in the registration combination.

What a beautiful feeling is imparted by your fine playing using such a tasteful organ.

Really enjoyed this piece and in general all those tender harmonies and passages are so warm this does suit you well - bravo!

Thank you Stig!

Beautiful and thoughtful playing! And you reminded one once again how later Mendelssohn really can be sweet...

Stig, you play this beautiful slow movement by Mendelssohn with such feeling and passion.

So comforting the way you interpret it.

Thank you!
