Topic: Danceland (Pianoteq)

not really a real book tune proper, but morally it should be!  anyway, i improvised it from a lead sheet, so i hope it counts   Bud Powell wrote many excellent tunes, many of which are not performed that often.  this is one of my favorites, from one of my favorite albums by him (The Scene Changes aka The Amazing Bud Powell v. 5).  lately i've been playing through a collection of his charts, so i hope to record more of his stuff.

A real pleasure to hear ! There's a Hit the road Jack vibe (a bit) to me. Very well played !

Yes, Bud Powell was a great musician.

Don’t talking about flow this time. It is the speed. I think you sound swinging and intense here. I suppose you don’t even look at the keys, a definition of becoming one with the instrument.
It's really a pleasure to listen to Bud, sorry, I mean of course budo

Bud Powell was called "The Charlie Parker of piano”.  And now we have ”the budo of piano”.This is very remarkable and impressive playing again. Could go on all day. Yes, budo is a great musician.
Thank you budo,
Best wishes,

Nice and swingin' with a gospel feel in the middle!  Love those repeating bass notes menacing the blues.

thank you, i really appreciate it. there's one problem with being the budo of piano, that's already Bud Powell! that's where i took my handle since he's one of my idols.  but i really appreciate your comment, it means a lot to me.
