Topic: Easy To Love (Pianoteq)

another tune from the real book, this time the great standard Easy To Love by Cole Porter.  i mostly followed the changes given here but there were a few alterations (including changing the key to Ab ... i think the original is in G but since Bill E did it in Ab i decided to follow his lead).  it kind of goes in a different direction eventually ...

I like this tap dance mood/vibe very much. Swingin' and light. Nice !

Re: Easy To Love (Pianoteq)

Excellent performance budo!
First I listened with excitement to the intro for a minute and then I was completely enchanted by the ”jumping” left hand !  I just love it.

When playing piano, each half of the brain controls one hand. In order to use both at the same time, it has to have a strong bridge between the two halves.
You have a very strong ”bridge”, that’s for sure.

This was again an other nice way of playing (the left hand!). The way I experience music is always evolving, thanks to you budo

Best wishes,

Stig

thank you so much for this, i really appreciate it.  i tried playing it many different ways and just kind of stumbled on this.  at first i thought Monk must have done it this way and i was dredging it up from memory, but i guess i was just channeling him to a certain extent
