Topic: Purchasing from Pianoteq or Retailer?

I've noticed that BH Photo Video in New York is selling Pianoteq 7 for about $40 less than on the Pianoteq site. Instrument packs are about $5 less than here on the site. Money counts for me but not that much. Any benefits in buying here as opposed to a retailer? I like to save a few bucks but I also want to do the right thing.

B&H says licenses are emailed in 1-3 days. I'm a little to impatient for that options, but it is entirely your call.

Re: Purchasing from Pianoteq or Retailer?

I always buy direct.. so they get more money to keep the company going .

Pianoteq 8, most pianos, Studiologic 73 Piano, Casio Px-560M, PX-S 3000, PX-S 1100, PX-S 7000, Mac i27 and MacBook Pro M3, SS Logic SSL 2

I prefer direct...fewer problems ...and more support for the developer

Re: Purchasing from Pianoteq or Retailer?

Generally I choose direct. Occasionally there is a better deal elsewhere.
Somebody loses out in the chain.
Mostly with Pianoteq it's about the same anyway.

Re: Purchasing from Pianoteq or Retailer?

I brought direct from Modartt and also from JRR Shop too. With third party authorized dealer like JRR Shop I got the license number to register within 24 hours.  So your call what you want to do.  I brought OrganTeq from JRR shop as they had a group-buy extra promotion that saved me some extra money. Plus I didn't register it right away as I was very busy at work and figured a couple extra months I might get a free upgrade if version 2 comes out during the grace period.
