Hello
Create links rather than copies.
Like many users I have my favorite presets and presets that I never use. The only way I have found at the moment to facilitate access to these favorites is to create one or more personal banks and copy these presets into them. The problem is that with this method each update of pianoteq concerning these instruments makes these banks obsolete (presets being copies at a certain date ).Would it be possible to create a management of favorite presets that targets the chosen factory presets without copying them ? I like for example to have a bank with all the "player", another one with all the "prelude" and one with only the "basics" but I lose these choice at each update. Of course this concerns the factory presets, not modified presets witch are necessarily copies.

There is one existing way to do something like this without any copying by using the filter option in the preset manager. If you type Prelude, you will display all the presets having such a name. Same for Recording and so forth. You can also restrain the filter to only wanted instruments by selecting them from the list at the right. The choice then applies to the menu as well. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help, I know this method but I would like a more simple method with simple clic without writing key words.

I agree, I also have a set of 18-20 banks, to organize presets into functional groups - some examples: player, studio recording, jazz, bright, closed mic, warm, intimate, ambience etc.

It’s so much easier to find presets when they are organized this way. I’d love if Modartt added a simpler way to organize them, without resorting to the tedious load/save as process.

I very rarely make my own presets, so this would really just be a way to organize the built-in presets the way a musician would think vs. a manufacturer.

I have started using a VST host (https://www.cantabilesoftware.com/), it provides a "layer" that offers a way to select and organize the presets. There is a free version that should cover your needs fully - but it is a wrapper around Pianoteq, so it adds a little in the complexity.

Hardware: Studiologic SL 88s + SL Mixface, Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, Lenovo Yoga I5 Windows 10 Pro
VST host: Cantabile
Other instruments: hammond (GSi VB3 II), saxophone (Selmer), harmonicas (Hohners)

Another idea to simplify the creation of banks of favorites would be to allow you to create copies of presets by drag and drop from the preset management window. It would be interesting to be able to select one or more factory presets and drag them into a personal bank created beforehand.

Un an après je réactive ce post en espérant qu'une prochaine version améliore la navigation entre presets.

Pour chaque instrument on aimerait pouvoir masquer les presets que l'on utilise jamais.
Pour chaque instrument on aimerait pouvoir changer l'ordre des presets ( ordre différent d'un instrument à l'autre... pourquoi ?)
Bien entendu on peut faire des copies de chaque preset favori et l'enregistrer dans une banque perso mais c'est extrêmement fastidieux et à refaire à chaque maj.
