Topic: STABAT MATER by Pergolesi ”Quis est homo” No. 5 Largo

Quis est homo: No. 5, Largo; of Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (1710-1736)
Stabat Mater - the mother was standing —title of a Latin hymn about the suffering of the Virgin Mary during the Crucifixion of Jesus

Composed in the final weeks of Pergolesi's life, Pergolesi composed it during his final illness from tuberculosis in a Franciscan monastery.

The Stabat Mater is one of Pergolesi's most celebrated sacred works, achieving great popularity after the composer's death. The work is divided into twelve movements, here is Quis est homo: No. 5, Largo:

5. Quis est homo qui non fleret, matrem Christi si vidéret in tanto supplício?

English:
Is there one who would not weep, Whelm'd in miseries so deep, Christ's dear Mother to behold?

I tried here to get a registration that allows you to clearly distinguish both melody, left hand accompaniment and also the bass. I have a new sound register again in the melody, by mixing a little with Quintaton 16 and Bourdon 16 together   And I really enjoy listening to the bass line in this piece going down and up beautifully.
Händel Largo and Bach Actus tragicus is beautiful music, but I think this piece is gorgeous

And…. everything is possible with the fantastic Organteq, that offers possibilities with new fantastic sounds/registrationcombinations all the time. Thank you Roman!

Best wishes,
