Topic: A little Pianoteq U4 one more time

I want to share this my experience with Pianoteq upright U4. I changed some settings a bit. And to me it got a more ”room sound”, warm sound, a bit feeling of space like a real upright piano, a real upright, a used one (with my headphones, try to listen with good headphones). Improvising slow so one can hear the sound better. Changed the Mint slider a bit to slightly detune the sound too. As we know, there is so many parameters one can use. To me it sounds different than all the other Pianoteq models, Grand pianos, and that is of course because it is an uppright model. To me, as they say, the U4 Upright Piano emphasizes all the specific characteristics of upright pianos with it’s many exciting presets. That I use to tweak   In the microphones section (Standard and Pro version) you can set the distance to the nearest wall (I think people have not noticed it). This movable wall was designed exclusively for the U4.

I enjoy sharing this improvising, these experieces, with you, because we all hear different, as I have said in the forum (  What still stands between Pianoteq and proffessional recording?). ………..even if two people are standing beside a real piano where the sound come to both ears, maybe not at the same time, and with that rooms acustics, not at same time to both ears - it sounds different for both. We hear different - anyway, I like this sound.
You may need to increase the volume.

Best wishes,

Stig
