Topic: What Harpischord for "Teardrop"?

I was watching a wonderful analysis of Massive Attack's "Teardrop". Many might recognize it from the opening theme of "House".

Looking for more experienced ears than mine - which harpsichord might sound closest to the one used in this track?

I would change the title of the thread to "What harpsichord for "teardrop"?"  ... or something like it. I thought at first you want a buyers guide or something. I didn't have the time to try which one it could be, yet.. greetings

Excellent point. Thank you. Edited!

Re: What Harpischord for "Teardrop"?

Sorry, I'm so exhausted by work... hm... I just started ptq, put on the song and my first impulse before playing was RUCKERS II ... I think it could fit?! but maybe it's the redwine talking. I keep trying ...

what do you need it for, or is it just out of interest? I was reading a bit on wikipedia: interesting: the singer (chosen over madonna) and the connection to jeff buckley and his tragic death...

halleluja

Re: What Harpischord for "Teardrop"?

For now I would stick with RuckersII and maybe(!) the Blanchet... For the piano octaves the steinway D, ha ?!!  good night

Yes, it's out of interest. Piano and keyed instruments have never been of primary interest to me - stringed ones are my background. However, I'm branching out.

I especially like the sound in that track. I bought Pianoteq this year, and I'm pleased, but not yet educated enough on the nuances of the available palette. I was hoping to short-circuit the exploration of every instrument a little.
