Topic: Can I use Pianoteq without a computer or directly to my keyboard?

Is there a way to download Pianoteq, or the piano model I like with all the saved presets, directly to a USB Flash drive and play it from my digital piano?
Or is there a way to download my favorite Pianoteq model I like directly to my digital piano?

The Digital pianos I'm using are Roland HP-605 and Kawai MP11SE

I'm basically looking for other options to use Pianoteq without having my computer at these pianos, because I have little kids in the house and the digital pianos are in the living room.  I look forward to hearing any solutions.

No, you will always need a computer.
Maybe there will be an iOS version soon, then your computer would be an iPhone or iPad...

Thank you so much.  I'll figure a way out.

Re: Can I use Pianoteq without a computer or directly to my keyboard?

I already enjoy all the things I can do with my Roland HP-605, but Pianoteq takes it up a level.
The Roland options was like having access to a piano dealer gallery.
The Pianoteq options is like going to the NAMM show with so many options and things we can do!

My Christmas wishlist from Pianoteq tis to come out with the following packages:
Fazioli
Bosendorfer
Schimmel
Kawai

Welcome to the forums!

I agree while the built-in options for the Roland are great, these are even better. I have the LX17, and I enjoy the piano tremendously now more than ever with Pianoteq software.

That's a nice wish list!

You have one and perhaps two other options now, rather than waiting the "maybe".

Both apply only if your settings is not particularly demanding (i.e. no top-of-the-level sampling rate, no layers or morphing, no super-short buffer).

Option 1: A headless Raspberry Pi. Still another device, but just a box with one or two cables connecting it to the piano, perhaps less appealing to a young kid than a screen with moving images on it. If that sounds like something you want to explore, look in this forum for more info.

Option 2: Just a maybe to experiment: a fully fledged Linux install on a rooted Android phone or tablet. Not sure it'll work, but worth a try if you have the hardware and the time to test it (see my own post on this topic on the forum, and feel free to reply there if you have questions).
