Topic: It's a Raggy Waltz and India (Pianoteq)

two pianoteq recordings.  the first is a Dave Brubeck classic from the Real Book.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpdMC4rS2ic

the second is not in the Real Book and is not often performed by others (but it is occasionally): Coltrane's India

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdS2WADuyxQ

this is the only recording i've done (so far) that uses a historical instrument: the Frenzel from the Kremsegg collection.  i used it with the Taj Mahal reverb (which really must sound like what it's like to perform in the Taj Mahal )

It’s a raggy waltz
Wow!  You play it so fast, sound as a tough piece. You are a rhytmic genius - like Brubeck (heard of him first 1961 when my musicfriend Charlie talked about his music). An amazing piece. Thank you.

India
My first thought, what is this…but, this is very creative music. It could go on even longer. Like those downgoing patterns on 9-10 and 21-22 (at least 12 times). And nice sounding instrument. Taj Mahal reverb is perfect.

Is this free jazz/avant-garde jazz or free improvisation? To me it is art or creative music.
I read that Coltraine had interest in indian music, the integration of Indian concepts in jazz improvisation. And he used Indian ideas in the names of many of his compositions.

You budo are amazing. Keep uploading.

Best wishes,
