Petrof Mistral Prelude & Reaper
Hello again Gérard,
First my little analysis around the name (your names on pieces always interest me, like the name is the music)
I suppose alternitude is alternation. Was thinking about the word:
It is of course the repeated occurrence of two things in turn. Or one could say your regular alternation of stressed and unstressed music patterns. And I was also thinking of yesterday here in Finland, the alternation of sun and snow continued all day
One could also say that the resultant patterns in your music, is a constant alternation of mood. My mood changed while I listened.
But, before my analysis of the music itself, we have to remember that there are other terms that sometimes are confused with alternation, but have different meanings: allomorph, free variation, inflectional morphology - (which we are not to compare with Modartt innovative technology computing morphing at the physical modelling level
Well, and the music:
It is with your music as with your names on the music, always new and inventive. - Thank you for your music, not just today's but all year round.
And thank you for the enthusiasm you show. One can hear it and it inspires
Best wishes,
Stig
