Topic: Buzzing B2 on Bluthner

Hi,

I am using PTQ 7.4.2 and the B2 (second B from the lower range) has a buzzing sound that I just cannot live with when playing, I am using Standard Ed. is there a way to eliminate this buzzing sound (I can hear it via headphones and monitors) and none of the other models have it (I have most of them). Or can it be fixed with an update perhaps?

Would be nice to know.

Thank you,

J

By reducing in Pianoteq pro 7.4.2 the partial 36th on this note (mid 35) by 10db (spectrum profile) there is a noticeable attenuation of this slightly exaggerated effect on the 2nd B of the keyboard (Bluethner concert recording BA). This effect was less marked in ptq 6.3.
NB: partials 7th(-1.6),10th(-5),11th(-14),25th(-19),26th(-18) can also be reduced.

Thanks Bruno - so if I am reading your post correctly, short of upgrading to Pro, I am stuck with the buzzer? :-)

Or you can ask someone to make you a preset, you can load it in standard even if you don't have PRO.
